I don’t care much for Taylor Swift, but that Beyonce is one classy gal. Bravo.
I knew I would miss the awards and I was not upset at all. However, I wrote a post and saved it for later…interestingly enough i was writing about the need for strong ladies to stand and not given to the pimp culture that is glorified and I hoped Taylor could stand strong within the pressures.

I must say, I was shocked by what Kanye did. His actions made my jaw drop. I think that Kanye can be very forward, but he needs to cool his jets and think before he takes the spotlight away from someone as talented as Taylor is. So young with so much talent.
I admire Beyonce for her actions; it was a very admirable and such a generous action to take! I think that the respect meter for her is through the roof right now. I will stand in ovation for the deed she accomplished!

I personally think that people need to let this go. This issue should exist primarily between Kanye and Taylor. If she can forgive him, (not to say that she did), then who are we as people watching from afar to take it so… personally?
I’m not defending him at all, and whether staged or not, I think it really doesn’t do anything positive for black MEN to say the least; but in all honesty, it shouldn’t matter nearly as much as it has. Besides, I would totally believe it was staged. I mean, can you IMAGINE how many more people STARTED watching the VMAs and will watch next year after hearing about/seeing this? Not to mention all the additional traffic on Twitter.
And we all know, just like after any other dumb stunt that Kanye pulls, his next album will still sell plenty because American’s have terrible long-term memories and very little moral fiber.
